This position serves as a project manager for all aspects of the digital project delivery. The Digital Delivery Manager will work with various project leadership teams beginning in Design and Preconstruction through Construction close-out. Project assignment responsibilities include all aspects of the digital project delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to development of the digital delivery Project Execution Plan, Building Information Modeling, virtual reality tools, laser scanning, augmented reality, fabrication models, construction model coordination, quality control, quality audits, model content audits, clash detection/reporting. The Digital Delivery Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of proactive communication, continuous improvement, and a focus on growth and profitability. The DD Manager will assist the project team and project management in the development of the digital project management strategy for furthering Burns & McDonnell’s position, and facilitating collaboration with activities, pursuits, and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Execute planning of BIM coordination.

Create & maintain DD/BIM Project Execution Plan, Project Criteria, DD Scope on project level.

Execute workflows for communication for BIM coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Initial setup and ongoing management of design models and the Common Data Environment (CDE) to be used for model and document collaboration.

Work with Design and Engineering teams to ensure design model is coordinated between disciplines.

Ensure design model is coordinated and ready for distribution and/or hand-off to Construction team and Subcontractor partners.

Develop regional Digital Delivery and VDC strategy in alignment with national goals and initiatives.

Coordinate with Construction to better facilitate communication needs.

Coordinate construction software workflows for BIM modeling efficiencies.

Coordinate with pre-construction efforts for QTOs, Estimates, Scope creations, and bidding.

Perform constructability reviews of project submittals.

Lead processes on change management for design and construction teams.

Develop methods and group processes utilizing project DD meta data.

Run digital model presentation efforts with clients.

Utilize virtual reality hardware and software on Project level.

Participate in proposal process to incorporate DD aspects.

Coordinate delivering digital products to clients.

Assist with pursuit decisions including “go no-go” decisions, marketing strategies, proposals, pricing, contract terms and conditions specific to digital delivery.

Direct QC process to monitor the development of digital delivery scopes of work, schedules and budgets during the pursuit process and during execution to help highlight any potential digital delivery issue areas.

Responsible for interpreting policies, purposes and goals of the organization to fellow employee owners.

Collaborate with Project Management on DD topics.

Innovate / Communicate / educate GP about DD standards and processes.

Integrate DD into QA/QC process.

Manage clash detection / reporting / resolution processes.

Collaborate throughout Pursuit and bid development process to select and implement the best VDC solutions for each pursuit.

Commit to consistently employing our best available VDC solutions regardless of contract values, owner requirements, and project budget.

Expect and embrace learning and growth opportunities required by evolving VDC tools and processes.

Lead and support subcontractors in the use of our processes and hold them accountable to execute.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in virtual design and construction, Engineering Technology, or a related field from an accredited program and 8 years of experience planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across project teams. Required or

Associate Degree from an accredited program in related field and 10 years of experience planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across project teams. Required or

12 years of experience planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across project teams in lieu of a degree. Required.

Understands Traditional project deliverables.

Understands digital delivery software and standards.

Ability to integrate multiple BIM models across various software platforms.

Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.

Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.

Excellent planning and analytical skills.

Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

Ability to execute and integrate DD into EPC projects.

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
