Sales Account Executive

Job Summary:
The Sales Account Executive is responsible for the selling of ark data centers products and services within an assigned geographic region with a primary focus on selling to new logo accounts. This includes articulating business solutions that resonate with the customer, consistently build an effective pipeline, and execute on each phase of the sales process (generate, qualify, pursue, and close opportunities that provide profitable revenue).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs direct customer sales in key areas; promotes and maintains customer relations with targeted accounts
• Develops and maintain sales by exploring and qualifying existing accounts in their assigned base
• Develop and maintain an adequate pipeline to ensure consistent delivery of results in sales over the course of the year
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems on all assigned accounts including sales opportunity data, quote records, customer contacts, dates, sales status, and contact information
• Prepares comprehensive quote packages for prospects
• Performs Business Reviews/Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to maintain client SLA expectations and service delivery satisfaction depending on the requirements of the account
• Represents ark data centers at conferences, meetings, exhibits, and other special events; promotes new and existing programs and initiatives
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of business practice, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to carry out a repeatable sales process
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of combined services or technology sales experience in a related industry
• Broad experience leading strategic alliances for a fast-growing technology company is mandatory
• Understanding and experience selling IT and/or data center services such as colocation, virtual hosting, disaster recovery, security and consulting is preferred
• Good connections (personal network) in the industry
• Ability to lead and drive initiatives through consensus-building
• Team-orientation and win/win approach to creating business value
• Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures utilizing Salesforce.com
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing goals, strategies, and plans
• Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long term goals
• Comprehensive knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, and methodologies
Technical Knowledge:
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite - Specifically Excel, PowerPoint
• Understanding of data centers, cloud environments, software applications and networking highly desired
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices- specifically Salesforce
Interpersonal Skills:
• Must be results oriented, expertise driven, loves building relationships, and is passionate about sales
• Excellent oral and written communication with excellent presentations skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• Ability to identify key issues in a situation and to think creatively and strategically in facing internal and external challenges
Travel Requirements:
• Up to 50% travel to include regular daily commutes, overnight stays and occasional weeklong absences from home
Compensation:
The compensation for this position is $67,000-100,500 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and skillsets.
