Registered Funds Counsel - 1940 Act

A Credit Investment Fund is looking to bring on a Senior Registered Funds Counsel to sit in their Greenwich, CT office. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this individual will join a tight-knit legal team with high visibility across the business. The role involves handling a variety of regulatory matters, including 1940 Act compliance, transactional support, regulatory filings, and more.Responsibilities:Update and implement policies and procedures in accordance with securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940.Manage regulatory review and support transactional and disclosure matters regarding new and previously existing products, fund marketing materials, distribution, etc.Manage Corporate Governance matters for Registered fundsWork with outside counsel and service providers as neededSupport the legal team with special projects on an ad-hoc basisQualifications:Juris Doctorate and Bar Admission4-6 YOE working with Registered Investment Companies and BDCsExtensive knowledge and comfortability with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws/regulationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and abilities to meet tight deadlines
