We are seeking a bright & dynamic

IT Modernization Solutions Architect . This person will be responsible for maintenance of our organization's cloud computing system. They will be responsible for developing cloud strategies, evaluating applications and hardware.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the design and planning of legacy application discovery, assessment, migration, and operationalization of applications, pre and post modernization.

Assess application performance, user experience, and user interface for potential improvement as a part of modernization initiatives.

Recommend solution architecture and integration with external technologies to provide modern applications on hybrid or Multicloud platforms.

Identify cloud native services and server-less architecture for legacy applications, build and present implementation plan/business case to relevant audience.

Develop, Implement, and maintain applications running on managed workloads.

Bridge the gap between client business requirements and effective microservices solutions, leveraging your understanding of microservice principles.

Select and implement the most suitable services for microservices architectures, including container orchestration (ECS, EKS), serverless computing.

Develop and Maintain Scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python to automate modernization and application delivery process.

Lead the migration efforts from monolithic architectures to scalable microservices-based solutions on AWS, Azure, GCP and private clouds.

Plan and design solutions on low code no code platforms to help customers enhance.

Design, Implement and Deliver application modernization projects that require re-hosting, re-factoring, or re-platforming of workloads.

Perform threat modeling, code reviews, code scans and quality control using DevSecOps approach.

Validate OWASP security standards in collaboration with Security teams for subjected applications.

Participate and engage in RFP, RFQ, RFI review, preparation process, provide solution/ business use case and technical writeups to proposal teams as needed, participate in solution review presentations with customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

6-8 years of experience of application development, DevOps.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of webservers, web applications, content management systems and serverless architecture.

Experience working with DevSecOps teams, OWASP secure coding standards.

In-depth experience working with CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation solutions and cloud native technologies required.

Experience implementing modernization projects.

Knowledge of FISMA compliance standards and system boundaries.

Knowledge and Experience with AWS/AWS/GCP native services.
