Onsite - Kohler, WIOpportunityThe Manager, Engineering of Testing & Prototyping is at the center of product innovation leading new product development testing and prototyping in North America. This leader is responsible for implementing testing and prototyping strategy for current and future capabilities, drive reliability, durability, simulation and hyper accelerated testing globally across various product categories.Specific ResponsibilitiesLead North America Lab OperationsManage testing to safety, quality, delivery and cost targets: performance, durability, life cycle, failure analysis, legal claim, material identification and analysis, qualification, verification and listing test reports.Coordinate with Project Leaders and Engineers to ensure on time testing deliveryLead lab capacity studiesLead improvement of laboratory KPIsLead upgrades, addition and maintenance of lab infrastructureLead Global Lab CapabilitiesCreate a roadmap for current and future capabilitiesDevelopment common systems & procedures globallyLead laboratory accreditation and ISO 17025 complianceEnsure operating codes, standards, & compliance are metFoster a relationship with external partners and value-add certifications to keep up with best in class.Define testing agendas based on product performance specificationsEnsure correlation among global labsLead simulation testing programLead product reliability, durability and hyper accelerated testing.Lead North America Prototyping OperationsLead global footprint of internal and external prototyping capabilitiesLead upgrades, addition and maintenance of prototyping infrastructureManage prototyping safety, quality, delivery and cost targetsLead prototyping capacity studiesSkills/RequirementsA BS/BA in engineering is required.10+ years of prior New Product Development validation experience.5+ years of experience Leading product validation.4+ years of previous supervisory experience in a product development environment.Prototyping experience.Proven reliability experience.Experience with hyper accelerated testing desired.Product development experience and understanding.Strategic agility with a strong pragmatic approach (can define a clear vision and is able to clearly articulate immediate goals/actions).Has the ability to communicate clearly and influence at all levels.Operates with candor, enthusiasm, commitment and drive to achieve business results.Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail, and accuracy, and be a demonstrably creative thinker.TravelApproximately 20%Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.The salary range for this position is $129,150 - $165,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
