We have an open position for a board eligible/board certified glaucoma specialist or comprehensive ophthalmologist to join 4 other glaucoma fellowship-trained ophthalmologists and one optometrist. All physicians maintain staff appointments at Northwestern Medicine/Northwestern Memorial Hospital and we offer a unique blend of private practice and university academic opportunities.University Eye Specialists is a highly reputable, successful, and well-established high volume ophthalmology practice in the Chicago area.Our ideal candidate would:
Want to practice in a private practice / academic model. They would have a Northwestern appointment and would participate in teaching residents and fellows.Be able to tackle challenging glaucoma and cataract cases.Enjoy having general ophthalmology patients in their practice too. While we are a glaucoma subspecialty practice, we also see a large volume of general patients who are referred to us by other hospital staff members and by our patients.Have an interest in participating in running our practice. Our practice is managed by us exclusively and this ensures our opportunity for efficiency, maintaining lower overhead expenses, and delivering excellent patient care.Be seeking association with our practice for the long-term. This is a priority for us --- we do not want a transient or short-term physician, or a person who intends to relocate eventually.We have two locations- one in downtown Chicago and the other in the northern suburbs of Chicago. We offer a competitive salary and good benefits including competitive compensation package, health and dental insurance, 401k profit sharing, and CME allowance.
