Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Corporate Development team is responsible for mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, investor relations, sustainability, and the PACCAR Foundation. The Corporate Development Business Analyst is a generalist role with the opportunity to contribute in each of these areas.In strategic planning and acquisitions, the Business Analyst tracks developments at PACCAR’s competitors, researches growth opportunities, strategic initiatives and potential acquisition targets, and prepares periodic industry and economic reports for PACCAR senior executives.The Business Analyst also provides support to PACCAR investor relations by identifying trends in equity research reports about PACCAR, analyzing interactions with investors, and performing targeting analysis to identify new investors. This role may also support PACCAR’s sustainability strategy.The PACCAR Foundation is the company’s charitable giving function. The Business Analyst will participate in the administration of foundation grant requests, interact with nonprofits, and assist in the preparation for Foundation Board of Directors meetings.Job Functions / Responsibilities

Create and publish a weekly summary of significant events in our industryOversee the preparation of monthly truck industry reports for senior executivesResearch and analyze competitors’ financial/operating data and global truck marketsCreate presentations for senior management and Board of Directors meetingsUse external data sources to perform market, industry and investor relations analysisSupport PACCAR Investor Relations, including reviewing and analyzing equity research, assisting with the quarterly earnings release process, and investor targeting analysisSupport the PACCAR Foundation, including managing grant requests and assisting in the preparation of Board meeting materialsAssist the Director of Sustainability in responding to various Environmental, Social and Governance surveys and other sustainability projectsSupport Corporate Development in evaluating growth opportunities including mergers, investments and other strategic initiativesOther duties as assignedQualifications

Interest in PACCAR and its competitors’ products and marketsUnderstanding of accounting, finance, and business strategy conceptsStrong critical thinking and analytical skillsStrong work ethic; complete projects with a high sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detailSelf-directedExcellent business writing and communication skillsMaturity to interact with all levels of managementProficient in Microsoft Office software products, especially Excel and PowerPoint1 - 3 years of experience in a corporate environmentEducation

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related field is
