Our client is a large, publicly traded company that offers fantastic work structure, balance, and compensation plans. They are hiring a GL Accounting Manager to oversee their Construction in Progress section of the financial statements. The role will directly manage a team of five.
Responsibilities:Lead month-end processes for assigned areas to ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal financial reporting including active participation in quarterly reviews and annual audit.Maintain integrity of general ledger through account reconciliations, including the research and resolution of issues as they arise.Manage special projects as assigned.Internal Control Considerations:

Assist with the maintenance of the chart of accounts in accordance with the chart of accounts procedure.Review and approve journal entries prepared by others in accordance with the journal entry procedure.Review and approve reconciliations prepared by others in accordance with the reconciliations procedure.Support the Senior Manager to ensure appropriate accounting policies and procedures are employed for the General Ledger group and are followed by yourself and your direct reports.
Minimum QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting experience.Including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or management position; may be substituted with equivalent demonstrated functional leadership experience.
Preferred:Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Telecommunications experience.Other relevant telecom industry or job specific certifications.
Base salary is up to $115k with a bonus potential of $7,500.
