The company’s brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle’s and Sidul.OVERVIEWThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for all operations of the Warehouse & Shipping department including the Bulk Loading Department. This person manages approximately 70 employees, salaried and hourly personnel, within a union setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fast-paced, challenging environment in which achievement in driving change in culture, procedures, and measurable performance was attained.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESOverall responsibility for product shipping by truck.Optimization of facility layout and inventory managementPerformance monitoring and reportingEnsure compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing PracticesEnsure Warehousing and Shipping areas are audit ready at all timesWORK EXPERIENCESMinimum 7 years of Distribution and Logistics experience in a high volume operation of which at least 4 years must be in managementFamiliarity with Key Performance Indicators in Logistics / Distribution / Customer ServiceExperience with creating & maintaining various management reports & budgetsExperience in Warehouse/Distribution Center lay-outsAccomplished results in Warehouse/Distribution Center performance improvementConsumer Product Goods/ Retail Distribution industry experience is a plusDemonstrated Experience with SAP preferredEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related area of studySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYManages staff comprised of 6 supervisors and 60+ hourly employeesEnsures Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential violationReview performance for salaried employees and identify training needsReview and issue disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract and Company PolicySelf-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in a constantly changing environmentDemonstrated leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to drive changeResults oriented with a focus on customer serviceSkilled in Inventory Control, Facility Management, Warehouse Material Handling, Receiving/Shipping procedures and controlsMust have a working knowledge of warehousing software, ideally SAP and EWMLOCATION OF ROLEWe are an equal opportunity employer.
