Applications and resumes will be accepted until September 30th, 2024.JOB SUMMARYThe Summer Program Director works closely with the Executive Director of Camping Services and the Marketing team of the Greater Green Bay YMCA Association Offices to develop and direct high quality summer camp programming and to plan and implement effective marketing strategies to acquire and retain campers and guests. The Summer Program Director also serves as a critical program support element to our Weekend Family Programs and Outdoor Experiential Education Programs.Employment Type: Full-time (35+ hours per week, eligible for the Y's full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and retirement). Onsite housing available. O

ptional Virtual-Hybrid work model can be available. Living onsite is required during summer program operation but off-season work can be set up to be partially virtual/onsite. The director would maintain onsite housing year-round but not be required to live/work at camp year-round.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupervise and manage all aspects of Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya’s summer camp programs.Interview and hire exceptional youth role models of diverse backgrounds and experiences.Create a strong culture of youth engagement through camping programs. Actively create systems to measure the engagement and impact of camp programs.Facilitate in attaining and maintaining ACA accreditation.By collaborating with the Association Offices Marketing team, the Summer Program Director develops and implements results driven marketing plans for Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya. Collect and analyze camp performance via registration data, surveys, and first hand observation.Design yearly camp programming to ensure high quality, competitive, relevant, ACA compliant programming.Plan and facilitate leadership training, summer staff training, assist in OEE training.Manage the camp website, keeping it current, user friendly and relevant.Write and develop camp policies, procedures, and staff manuals.Act according to facility protocol to ensure safety of all staff, children and volunteers which includes:

Follow employees and volunteers screening requirements and use screening tools to screen for abuse risk.Provide employees and volunteers with on-going supervision and training related to abuse risk.Provide employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with children.Require employees and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s progressive disciplinary procedures.Respond seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.Follow mandated reporting requirements.Communicate to all employees and volunteers the organization’s commitment to protect children from abuse.Report essential abuse risk management information to VP, Chief People Officer & Risk Management Officer.

Act as Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director; uphold appropriate communication, task completion, and decision making.Support all other areas of camp programming as needed.This position will need to work weekends throughout the summer and may be required to work weekends during the shoulder season.SKILLS AND TRAINING
