Position Summary
Marr Labs is seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in roadmapping, architecting, designing, and developing innovative software solutions for our platform. You will lead a team of skilled engineers to implement systems that use state-of-the-art models to deliver voice AI agents. With the goal of successful deployment for the customers and continued operations, you will translate customer requirements to roadmaps of new system components and incremental system features, design systems yourself or review system design by others, assign implementation tasks to yourself and the rest of the team, code review, and audit system implementation. You are responsible for fostering a fast-moving and quality craftsmanship culture. Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Recruit, organize, and lead an engineering team, fostering a culture of fast-paced, high-quality craftsmanship.Roadmapping and Design: Translate customer requirements into roadmaps and incremental system features. Design systems and review designs by others.Development and Deployment: Implement systems yourself and oversee the team's implementation tasks. Ensure successful deployment and continued operations for customers.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customers, to bring cutting-edge technology to life.Communication: Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
Skills
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, React, etc.).Experience with AI, machine learning. Knowledge of large language models, voice recognition, and speech synthesis is a plus.Strong system architecture and design skills. Knowledge of real-time streaming systems is a plus.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps.Proven ability to recruit, organize, and lead engineering teams.Experience in mentoring and developing team members.Strong project management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience with code reviews and quality assurance.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in a similar engineering leadership role within a fast-paced startup environment.Deep hands-on knowledge of software development and architecture.Extensive experience with AI and machine learning technologies.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop engineering teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong project management skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable plans.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps practices.Commitment to high-quality, reliable software development and continuous improvement.Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
