Job Description
The Project Manager oversees the execution of numerous large and intricate projects, collaborating with various teams such as coordination, fabrication, field, safety, subcontractors, and vendors. Their role is to guarantee the safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of projects.
Responsibilities
Develops the project budget, coordination schedule, and schedule of values in collaboration with the Accounting, Coordination, and Estimating teams.Evaluates vendor, subcontractor, and in-house shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with the project documents.Assesses bids from vendors/subcontractors negotiates, and awards contracts after thorough scope vetting.Examines subcontractor manpower and schedule requirements, updating company plans accordingly.Coordinates and schedules material/equipment deliveries to align with project schedule requirements.Participates in project management meetings. Reviews submittals, subcontracts, and purchase orders.Generates accurate monthly job cost projections, cash flow projections, and manpower projections in collaboration with the project foreman and outside superintendent.Submits monthly billings for the project.
Qualifications
6 to 10 years of relevant experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.Proven written, verbal, and presentation skills.Proven problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to manage changing priorities.Thorough understanding of Massachusetts building codes and standards in relation to Fire Protection.Understanding of Fire Protection, mechanical systems, and the construction industry.Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Project, and Bluebeam.
