The Catering Manager, located with the Walter E Washington Convention Center, is a leadership position which leads all aspects of catering solutions and special events at the location. This position will lead the Catering team to complete events or catering delivery requests in line with customer expectations and service standards.COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position ranges from $70,000 to $75,000 depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.BENEFITS:

Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers’ needsDevelop and maintain effective client and customer rapportDeliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out eventsFacilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event ordersAssist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients’ needsTrain and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentationProvide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to eventResponsible for delivering food and labor targetsResponsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and managementEnsure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivablesRecruit, train, schedule and develop team membersEnsure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policiesAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done makes a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Requires at least 2 years of experiencePrior experience in a management or supervisory role preferredPrevious experience in events, hospitality and catering preferredRequires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceAvailable to work event-based hoursMust have excellent communications skillsComplete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as requiredRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbout Aramark
