Pulpmill Services, Inc. (PSI) primary business is the manufacturing, installation, repair and refurbishing of pulping equipment, diversifying into industrial general construction including concrete, structural steel, piping and mechanical projects. PSI is a full-service fabrication, welding, and machine shop utilizing advanced CNC machines, water jet and plasma tables and large horizontal and vertical milling machines.Summary/objectiveThis is a skilled level position which requires the ability to inspect all aspects of the fabrication process to ensure our standard of quality is met.This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to the following key functions:Essential FunctionsDevelop and maintain all quality records as necessary for compliance with customer needs.Develop and maintain welding certification database.Review and markup drawings for QC checkpoints.Assist in development and certification of weld processes.Physically inspect welds, measurements, tolerances, finishes, etc. as necessary.Develop inspection reports for customers.Assist in QA meetings with customers.Willing to learn and perform other tasks and duties as needed.Ability to take physical measurements with precision instruments to determine design parameters.Familiar with industrial equipment design, fabrication and machining processes.Understanding of conveyor screws, vacuum equipment, bearings and drives/gears.Ability to interact with customers to determine design requirements and preferences.Very organized and able to accurately maintain a large volume of records.Understands reasonable manufacturing tolerances and abilities.Be able to think quickly and critically in response to job and scope changes.Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written form or verbally so that instructions can be followed with minimal chance of error.Ability to recognize when a sense of urgency is required.Ability to work independently and as a team member with other personnel.Supervisory responsibilitiesQuality Assurance Employee(s)Work environmentMachine Shop, Fabrication Shop and MillsAbility to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materialsSomeEducation and ExperienceCertified Welding Inspector.Knowledgeable in AWS D1.1/D1.610+ years of quality assurance/quality control experience.Experience working with facilities and equipment.Additional eligibility requirementsValid Driver’s License or State Issued ID.Able to pass a drug screen and background check.Work authorization/security clearance requirementsAuthorized to work in the U.S.Compensation$70k - $120k/annually (exact rate to be determined based on experience and qualifications)Medical, Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurance401kPTOPaid HolidaysEqual Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.#J-18808-Ljbffr
