The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Sr. Manager, Business Strategy and Planning on the Marketing Team reporting to the Sr. Director, Consumer Insights and Strategy. This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida Position Summary: Develops the brand’s strategic plans in support of continuous improvement and profitable development across the Celebrity brand, serving as an internal consultant for brand leadership to develop unique and value-driven perspectives, especially on cross-departmental projects and analysis. This position is the brand point person for all key strategic decisions, working alongside the brand and corporate team to ensure Celebrity’s plans and operations are aligned with its long-term strategies and mission. Works to identify opportunities to improve results and increase profitability for the Celebrity brand. This position works closely with executive leadership to prepare comprehensive positioning, strategy and planning documents including white papers and presentations to drive efficiencies, program development, brand innovations and strategic initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads a team, as well as cross-functional teams, through the development of the strategic and annual plan. Closely partners with corporate counterparts to design perspectives and provides guidance on strategic needs. Develops multi-year strategies focused on profitability, efficiencies, optimization, and reliability. Continually assesses brand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and promotes actionable proposals to address them. Develops and communicates to internal partners the business strategy for the Celebrity brand. Performs revenue, costs, and operational analysis to better inform current decisions that will have a long-range impact on the Celebrity Brand. Leads the preparation of the five-year strategic plan along with annual operating plan. Works collaboratively with the leadership of departments across the brand on ad-hoc projects. Monitors brand performance KPIs and develops action plans to support company strategy. Works alongside other departments in the organization to drive operational improvement. Drives identification, evaluation, and recommendation of new business ideas. Act as a consultant for peers to increase their knowledge and logical reasoning as it relates to brand strategic mission. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of finance, business analysis and/or revenue management experience. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working effectively with senior management including executive level presentations. Experience working on highly analytical projects. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word. Prior experience of managing a team in a similar planning / analysis function. Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate. Pro-active and consultative approach. Able to build good working relationships with personnel at all levels located at the corporate offices and global offices. Able to motivate/manage staff in matrix organization. PC/financial modeling skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Experience of using database query tools (such as Power BI or Hyperion). Strong business writing skills. Able to present a fact-based impartial view in a situation to help find a root cause and aid in problem solving. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of co-workers and influence. Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects. Takes initiative and is flexible to change. Preferred Qualifications: MBA preferred. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a computer, communicate, listen, and assess information.
