Performs general clerical and reception duties. Enters patient data to the registration system and verifies insurance and/or third party coverage. Schedules, confirms and cancels patient appointments.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust be able to work weekends/holidaysDemonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scannerDemonstrated experience using multi-line telephone systemDemonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrievalDemonstrated effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to make simple calculations and perform simple mathAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to effectively read, write and speak EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Must take and successfully pass a standardized assessmentDemonstrated knowledge of medical terminologyDemonstrated experience working in registration, scheduling and/or authorization processDemonstrated experience working in a hospital or medical office settingBilingual skill in Spanish or Vietnamese or ChineseAll final candidates will be required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process to comply with the University's cash handling policyConditions of Employment:Background Check and Live ScanLegal Right to Work in the United StatesVaccination PoliciesDrug Free EnvironmentClosing Statement:The University of California, Irvine is an
