Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
NOC Network Administrator
to join our team. This role is responsible for providing ongoing network support, addressing availability issues, resolving performance problems, and offering overall level two support in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of network performance and reliability. Day to Day Work Responsibilities may include: Provide ongoing support for network infrastructure, addressing issues related to availability and performance. Evaluate hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks. Manage and optimize network performance, diagnosing and resolving issues as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems to ensure quality transmission services. Report on overall network performance, including identifying frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans for improvement. Provide timely and efficient incident response and resolution in a 24/7 environment. Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues. #USCGIMS Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience and Master's degree and 3 years experience or high school diploma/euqivalent and 9 years experience Active Secret Clearance. Security+ Certification. Proven experience in networking, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in networking or related fields. Experience working in a NOC or similar operational support environment. Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
