Attention Tractor/Trailer Drivers
- TelCom Construction is hiring a full-time materials and equipment transport driver! The primary function of this position is to safely and efficiently transport equipment and materials used within the Utility Construction industry using reel trailers, enclosed trailers, lowboy and flatbed trailers throughout the Upper Midwest. ? :What will you do as a Materials and Equipment Transport Driver?Operates tractor/trailer combinations, including reel trailers, enclosed trailers, lowboy and/or flatbed trailers including over-sized loadsTravels throughout the TelCom footprint including overnight/2-4 day assignmentsOperates loading equipment including industrial stand up forklift, sit down forklift, telehandler and skid steerLoads and unloads various construction equipment to and from transport trailersCommunicates load contents, status and schedule in congruence with established company processCommunicates maintenance and repair needs of Company vehicles and equipmentInspects materials being transported for damage during pre-load, transit and post-load stages and immediately communicates themMaintains up to date knowledge of and complies with all DOT requirements including but not limited to vehicle inspection, logging and any other documentation, load securement, etcAccurately and appropriately completes IFTA documentationKeeps up to date on roadway permit requirements. Applies for, obtains and complies with all transport permit requirementsFollows all Company safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned
? :Qualifications:2-4 years of Tractor/Trailer combination operations experienceUnrestricted Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement and favorable driving recordAbility to maintain a DOT health cardAbility to regularly travel, work flexible hours and overtime as neededPrevious experience hauling over-sized equipment is preferredPrevious experience operating construction equipment is preferredEffective and respectful written and verbal communicationAbility to work independentlyWillingness to learn including use of computer or other electronic devicesCore competencies:Problem solving Attention to detail Thorough and effective communication Dependability
