As an Operating Assistant you control the operations both back and front of house that ensure superior service levels are maintained, stock is handled securely in a timely manner and fulfillment is expedited.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Partners with Business Manager and cross functional leaders on business-driving initiatives to satisfy the customerLeads the customer experience initiatives within the department by holding colleagues responsible to operational excellenceCommunicates daily on workload progress, challenges and accomplishmentsProcess any special orders or client/stock repairs to ensure care and attention to service and shortageEnsure merchandise is available to sell through recovery and fill in effortsMaintain stockroom and inventory control/AP standardsDriven by our Desire to Win

Leads all aspects of shortage controlUnderstands impact of operational control on sales and serviceUtilizes observations and business reports to analyze and understand trends within department. Takes action in partnership with Business ManagerAssist in any fulfillment functions within department to satisfy the omni customer and drive businessCommitted to a culture of Collaboration and continuous learning

Strategizes opportunities to improve upon Big Day executionCommunicate arrival of new receipts and educate staff on product featuresPartner with Business Manager to assist in training, coaching, motivating and developing new associates on company policies, procedures, product knowledge, and department goalsQUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience :

HS Diploma or equivalentCommunication Skills:

Able to easily engage in conversationSocial ease and quick response to customer needs and inquiriesAble to maintain composure in difficult situationsDetailed oriented about product knowledgeAble to communicate effectively with customers, peers and managementMathematical Skills:

Basic math functions to operate register, handle money and make changeAble to use a calculatorReasoning Ability:

Able to work independently and as part of a team in a learning environmentPhysical Demands:

Constant moving and standingAble to lift 10 lbs.Able to reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb ladders.Other Skills:
