As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Windows Cloud, you will partner closely with engineering and sales teams to lead inbound strategies, as well as to-customer and partner-ready programs for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. You will define new product offerings, partnering with product marketing colleagues to understand audience, product-market fit, and product interactions. You will lead key strategies and investments end to end across assigned marketing workstreams, as well as planning for future announcements and product launches in partnership with outbound marketing partners and other customer- and public-facing groups such as brand and storytelling, customer readiness and technical support, and communications teams.

This role is critical to connecting Windows Cloud experiences across Modern Work, Windows, and Azure product teams, as well as helping our customers learn about and adopt our virtualization solutions. You will be a strategic thinker, a storyteller, a customer advocate, and a business advocate who can drive growth and adoption for Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with significant opportunity for learning and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead others to compile and evaluate market intelligence to identify opportunities in the end-user computing and virtualization space for Windows Cloud solutions and determine critical innovations, features, and experiences to grow the addressable market.
  • Define strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal of Windows Cloud solutions.
  • Contribute to and influence the long-term product marketing strategy and Windows Cloud roadmap, leveraging a deep understanding of customer, field, and partner needs, aligning with the company vision, mission, and goals.
  • Develop deep relationships with the partner ecosystem, particularly Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and effectively liaise with product management, other marketing teams, business development, and partner ecosystem teams to identify new opportunities to ensure Microsoft is ahead of the market and cultivate existing partnerships for mutual benefit.
  • Collaborate with others to develop insights from market or user research, analyses, and market and industry trends to drive to-customer, to-field, and to-partner programs and assets, and create a differentiated value proposition that aligns with customer goals.
  • Work with other teams to incorporate Windows Cloud value into their plans for expanded reach, as appropriate.
  • Create and deliver end-to-end plans for Windows Cloud innovations, ensuring alignment with internal product roadmaps, solution plays, and partners that will coinvest in and execute against these plans.
  • Plan and execute in collaboration with others in marketing on key supporting workstreams, such as content creation, launch planning, and demand generation.
  • Create and deliver engaging and persuasive content and collateral for various audiences and channels, such as webinars, blogs, videos, white papers, presentations, and sales enablement materials.
  • Partner with others to define experimentation opportunities, success metrics, measurement methodology, objectives & key results (OKRs), and investment roadmap for owned workstreams, tracking performance against success metrics and driving ongoing improvements.
  • Represent Microsoft as a product marketing leader and spokesperson for Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 at internal and external events, such as conferences, webinars, podcasts, and media interviews.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Product marketing experience in the technology industry, preferably in cloud, software, or SaaS products and services
  • Experience creating and executing successful inbound and go-to-market strategies and plans for complex and innovative products and services
  • Experience with communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to craft and deliver clear, compelling, and differentiated messages and content for various audiences and channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decisions and actions.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
