If you're passionate about consumer products, e-commerce, and high-growth start-ups, keep reading!Job Summary:As Ruggable's Director of Sourcing, you will play a key role in supporting our diversification strategy and building long-term relationships with our existing supplier base in addition to evaluating net new suppliers. You will serve as both a decision-maker and an innovative thinker for the Operations team. More specifically, you will support sourcing for several of our best-selling products and drive continuous improvement with our vendors. You will be responsible for evaluating samples, analyzing cost, and providing feedback to vendors to expand and improve our global supplier base.What You’ll Do:Develop and implement Ruggable long-term sourcing strategiesDevelop and implement Ruggable's supplier quality process to ensure effective supplier accountabilityBuild strong relationships with Ruggable factories, vendors, and cross-functional teams to help foster an environment of partnership and trustDevelop and implement Ruggable's supplier development strategyWork hand-in-hand with our Product Development team to quickly bring innovative new products to marketManage vendor-facing projects and processes, including building new tools to improve speed and reliabilityEnsure that all seasonal calendar deadlines are met, issues are raised, and the team is updated in a timely mannerResearch new markets and identify suppliers to further stabilize and fill assortment gapsPartner with the team to onboard new regions, suppliers, and factoriesWhat You’ll Need to Have:Required:5 years experience in Sourcing and/or Product Development with a globally distributed supplier baseStrong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple ongoing projects with competing timelinesDeep understanding of international regulations including tariffs and dutiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skillsExperience managing direct reports and/or cross-functional teamsFlexibility to periodically travel abroad for vendor site visitsPreferred:Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related fieldSpecific knowledge of textile, apparel, and/or home décor (textile, trim, packaging, garment) manufacturing and supply chainHighly engaged and qualified supplier base contactsCompensation:$150,000 - $165,000 per year base salaryAnnual bonus that varies based on level of roleEmployer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K planAt Ruggable, we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
