About Us:ASD is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to creating, strengthening, and sustaining healthy communities by providing quality, affordable, service-enriched housing to economically disadvantaged individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to join our leadership team and help drive our mission forward.

The Opportunity:As the CHRO, you will serve as a strategic leader, developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with our mission and support our long-term objectives. You will oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations, with a focus on fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture. The CHRO will play a crucial role in expanding our HR department, mentoring the current HR Manager, and leading efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives.

What We’re Looking For:

10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership.

Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Strong background in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and compliance.

Ability to align HR strategies with the mission of a nonprofit organization.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience leading DEI initiatives in a professional setting.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to nonprofits.

Proven ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals and mission-driven outcomes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

Experience working with culturally, racially, and sexually diverse populations, and a commitment to promoting an inclusive workplace.

WORK HOURS:Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

SALARY RANGE:$85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
