Senior Manager, Data Products
Westchester, IL – 3 days onsite per week
Position Summary:
A leader in the smart home industry seeks a collaborative and data-driven Senior Manager, Data Products to lead their data product development efforts. This key role will work hand-in-hand with our product management team to transform raw data into valuable insights and innovative product features. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who can bridge the gap between technical data capabilities and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership:
Forge a strong partnership with product management to align data product development with overarching product strategy and roadmap. Collaborative Ideation:
Collaborate with product managers to identify and prioritize data-driven product opportunities that enhance user experience and drive business value. Data Product Roadmap:
Co-develop and execute a data product roadmap in sync with the overall product roadmap, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery of data-powered features. Technical Leadership:
Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and visualization experts to design, develop, and deploy robust data products that meet product requirements and user needs. Data-Driven Advocacy:
Champion the use of data to inform product decisions, advocating for a data-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle. Data Storytelling:
Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and compelling stories that resonate with product managers and other stakeholders. Technology Stack:
Leverage the Azure cloud platform and Power BI to build scalable, user-friendly data products that seamlessly integrate with existing systems.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in analytics or data engineering. 5+ years of leadership experience in a people management role. Extensive experience using Power BI for Data Visualization. Strong experience working with Azure. Proven experience with Change Management, driving adoption of data-driven solutions.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Data Science or Machine Learning. Experience in the IoT or smart home industry. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Master's degree in a relevant field.
