CIBC.com .What You’ll Be DoingThe Energy, Infrastructure & Transition (EIT) team is the largest investment banking team at CIBC and focuses on clients in the United States, Canada and Europe across broad sector coverage including traditional sectors of power generation, utilities, upstream and midstream energy, transportation, and social infrastructure, plus emerging energy transition sectors including renewable power, carbon capture, hydrogen, renewable fuels, among other emerging low-carbon solutions. CIBC was named North American ESG Financial Advisor of the year in 2022 and North American Financial Advisor of the year in 2019 by Infrastructure Journal Global (IJGlobal).This role is based in Houston and primary focus is on the midstream and pipeline, LNG and carbon capture sectors, with increasing focus on other emerging energy transition sectors. The primary roles and responsibilities for this Associate position include working with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Directors, Associates and Analysts to complete financial modeling and analysis, research, transaction structuring and to generally support the senior professionals with business development and transaction execution activities. This role has an expected salary range of USD$150,000 - $175,000 for the Houston, TX market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
