Under general supervision provide professional nursing care of Surgery Center patients in all phases of preoperative and postoperative care. Perform preadmission, PACU care, postoperative care, and evaluation for discharge. Develop care plans based on nursing diagnosis and nursing process. Provide orientation to new staff. Maintain professional standards. Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching. Assess, plan, develop, document, and evaluate patient care plans. Provide guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. Assess patient, family, and staff learning needs and promote effective working relationships.Qualifications
We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:Current California RN license
requiredBSN or MSN
requiredBLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
requiredACLS and PALS
required2 yrs recent ICU/ER/PACU experience
requiredPCCN PreferredSkill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis.Ability to perform historical, physical, and behavioral patient assessments.Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans actively involving patients, family, and staff.Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire.
