You will be supporting the international roll-out of our approved prostate cancer imaging agent and helping us to advance our portfolio of late clinical-stage products that address significant unmet need in oncology and rare diseases.

This is a high impact and critical lead counsel role which will serve as the head of legal and compliance:

for the newly created Medical Technologies global business unit worldwide (MedTech Business Unit) which is responsible for the worldwide development and commercialization of medical devices, artificial intelligence and digital software products and to enable other Precision Diagnostics and Therapeutics Commercialization Business Units support the end-to-end patient journey.

Supporting global privacy, digital and information security implementation across the Group for any teams.

This role will play a critical role in enabling the MedTech Business Unit's success and worldwide privacy and digital compliance, whilst navigating an increasingly complex set of applicable laws, regulations, risks and best practices.

The successful candidate will:

be a seasoned, dynamic, connected and experienced international pharmaceutical or medical device lawyer;

have a commitment to high standards of integrity and ethics;

have experience in delivering legal and healthcare compliance needs internationally;

be willing to proactively grow, learn and change in a fast growing and fast changing environment.

The role will report directly to the Global Group General Counsel, with a dotted line to the General Manager of the MedTech Business Unit. The role will ideally be based in either Geneva, Switzerland or Lieges, Belgium where Regional offices are located, although other remote candidates based in Europe or the UK will also be considered where willing to travel as required.

Key Accountability:

Trusted MedTech Business Unit Relationship Partner Worldwide

Contribute to the MedTech Business Unit working with related leaders and team members worldwide (predominantly based in Europe and the United States).

Support in enabling delivery of MedTech Business Unit's strategic, financial, people and cultural goals in short and long-term.

Effective legal and compliance support to enable development and commercialization of the MedTech Business Unit's products, including both direct commercialization markets and via independent Distributor partners.

Role model integrity leadership and help the Business Unit to ensure the highest standards of ethics, compliance and accountability is executed consistent with applicable laws, regulations and Telix policies.

Ensure in-house and external counsel advice is delivered to the MedTech Business Unit with a commercial lens and a solution focus.

Manage MedTech Business Unit legal budget and law firms/legal service providers, working with finance and global legal stakeholders as required.

Role model and deliver strong collaboration, teamwork and communication to other global legal, compliance, company secretary and governance stakeholders as one worldwide team.

Effective Legal and Compliance Business Partnering and Risk Management

Deliver effective legal and compliance programs to the MedTech Business Unit, joint venture business partners and helping to enable Distribution Partners with a focus on strategic and operational contracts, anti-bribery, interactions with healthcare professionals, corporate law, advertising code and regulatory healthcare compliance, HCP transparency, employee or labour law, litigation and investigations, competition and anti-trust, data privacy, artificial intelligence etc.

Foster a culture of early engagement so that legal and compliance is built by design and there are "no surprises".

Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement for MedTech Business Unit legal and compliance function and related activities.

Advise on risk and compliance matters related to the MedTech Business Unit's and Telix's overall development and commercialization activities in the medical device, artificial intelligence and digital sector so that no unexpected legal or compliance risks arise.

Facilitate drafting, review and negotiation of MedTech Business Unit contracts for global business development, joint venture business partner, operational, development and commercial purposes in accordance with agreed metrics and timeframes.

Create, train and maintain contracting process and MedTech templates, including support for global templates and automation of the templates in the global contract management system.

Review HCP engagements, activities, promotional and non-promotional materials for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and codes and Telix policies within agreed deadlines.

Establish and deliver effective Legal and Compliance onboarding training for new starters consistent with MedTech Business Unit needs and global legal guidance, materials and tools.

Create and deliver regular legal and compliance communications to the MedTech Business Unit to keep compliance issues top of mind.

Monitoring, tracking, reporting and metrics delivered on MedTech Business Unit legal and compliance training completion and activities.

Ensure MedTech Business Unit HCP Sunshine and transparency reporting activity is accurate and integrated into Telix's overall program and is managed and delivered by the deadlines to comply with applicable laws, regulations and codes.

Global Privacy, Information Security and Digital Legal Lead

Lead Global data privacy, artificial intelligence and digital compliance program design and implementation, working collaboratively with global stakeholders across all business units.

Active participation in Global Legal and Compliance functional projects to ensure smooth implementation in the MedTech Business Unit and to help the function continuously improve worldwide in privacy, digital and information security matters.

Work proactively with Global Risk and Governance team for effective risk management in the region.

Assist the Group General Counsel and Group Company Secretary to ensure corporate board activities, corporations law and worldwide affiliate requirements.

Assist the Global IP team as required to manage Telix's IP policies and practices.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Laws/ JD/ LLM recognized within the Region.

Admitted to practice law as lawyer in-house in location where based in Europe, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

Legal right to work and live in Europe or the UK.

10+ years overall legal counsel or attorney legal experience (either at law firm or in-house).

At least 5 years in-house experience within the healthcare, biotech, medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

Proven track record and ability to effectively lead a complex area of responsibility.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills in English – French or other European language skills a plus.
