The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office is currently accepting resumes for a Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney (DC) to supervise the Appellate Division.Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supervising four experienced appellate attorneys assigned to the Unit; Conducting complex legal research; Advising the District Attorney on various policy issues of local, state and national concern; Staying up to date on changing legal and policy issues; Managing a substantial appellate caseload; Researching and Writing appellate briefs and Presenting oral arguments before the Georgia Appellate Courts; Communicating complex legal concepts efficiently and effectively; Assisting Trial ADA’s with legal issues and appearing in court regarding said issues; Reviewing cases for potential post-conviction sentence relief; Editing appellate writing of members of the Unit; and Training law enforcement personnel on issues. The DC will report directly to a Chief Assistant District Attorney.Preferred Qualifications:
