System-wide Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist

for a Multi-Campus position. They are headlined by a

Level II Trauma Center

that serves as a tertiary referral center for 15 counties and the largest Hospital in the region. This position will work collaboratively with the entire Perioperative and Procedural Care leadership team, reporting to the System's Director of Advanced Practice Nursing. Perioperative CNS Responsibilities:

Serve as the Clinical Practice Expert in the delivery of evidenced-based nursingTranslates theory and evidence to advance the health and knowledge of the patient/family, nurses/practice and the organization/system.Provides leadership and clinical expertise in the management of complex patient issuesPartners with leadership to develop and evaluate the delivery of nursing practiceProvides leadership and expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative individual and/or population-based programs of care to achieve desired quality outcomes.Establishes and monitors care standards and facilitates change(s) in areas of clinical practice based on data analysesClinical Nurse Specialist Benefits:

Masters in Nursing or Doctorate in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse SpecialistNational Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (AGCNS-BC, ACCNS-BC, etc)Ability to obtain an RN License in the StateAbility to obtain a CNS license in the StateTwo (2) years of Clinical Nurse Specialist experience preferred, but new grad CNS' will be consideredThree (3) years of clinical nursing experience required, preferably in a main OR setting as a circulator.
