And that has made for achieving some truly great things.Role OverviewData Ops Engineers play an exciting role in sculpting the Analytics team at HealthScape, helping to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge capabilities to aid our clients across the healthcare industry while helping the growth of data analytics at the firm.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain processes and components of a streaming data to support real-time analytics (from requirements to data transformation, data modeling, metric definition, reporting, etc.)Develop code using Big Data Technologies such as Spark to write MapReduce and in-memory applications using Java, Scala, SQL, Python, R languages, Hive, etc.Lead the translation, integration, and evolution of analytics artifacts deployed on client engagements into standardized and scalable components of the HealthScape analytics infrastructure.Collaborate with analytics team members to design and manage technological infrastructure across multiple data platforms.Identify business-aligned emerging healthcare analytic themes in collaboration with leadership and lead innovation with the design and development of new capabilities and solutions.Develop compelling PoCs for data solutions using emerging technologies for real-time and big data ingestion and processing.Help define standards and best practices for enterprise usage.Support the continued development of data and analytics culture across HealthScape Advisors through knowledge share, cross-functional training, and mentorship.Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of client information for yourself and the team you supervise.Qualifications and Desired Skills3 to 5 years of applicable experience in Data Analytic, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering.Previous exposure to common healthcare data file formats (e.g. 837s, EMR, administrative claims data, etc.)Bachelor’s Degree in technology-related field of study (e.g. Computer Science, Health Informatics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Analytics, etc.)Strong programming experience executing analytics with programming languages like SQL, Python, R, Spark, PySpark, Scala, and/or JavaScript with deployment via notebook tools like Jupyter or Zeppelin.Previous experience with emerging big data processing technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hadoop/MapReduce, etc.)Ability to aid in implementation of DevOps with knowledge and experience of various digital applications such as AWS, Linux, etc.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – possessing the ability to communicate and deliver complex analytics information to clients and executive audiences.Complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills – ability to identify, critically assess, evaluate options, and implement solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ability to use logic and reason to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated information or events).Eagerness to mentor/train/knowledge-share with the team.Enthusiasm to navigate and continue learning in an entrepreneurial environment.At Healthscape, we pride ourselves on having a diverse workforce.
