Pediatrix has an amazing career opportunity for an experienced neonatologist-medical director to lead our brand-new practice at Piedmont Cartersville Regional Medical Center in Cartersville, GA. Piedmont Cartersville Regional Medical Center is a 119-bed Hospital, Level lll Trauma Center located just 45 minutes North of downtown Atlanta. Named Healthgrades Top 250 Best Hospitals in the country list, 2022 and 2023.Leadership Responsibilities IncludeOverseeing the practice and collaborating with hospital administration and our regional management team. Fostering growth and mentorship to fellow team members; taking on leadership roles within the hospital and community.Providing care for Level ll NICU babiesDelivery attendance (high risk and c-sections)Coverage for unattended well babies in the 12-bed newborn nurseyRounding in-house during the day with Call responsibilities from home at nightAbout the AreaCartersville is a suburb of Atlanta, located only 45 minutes north along the Etowah River. The town has the charm of a small city, but with easy access to both Atlanta and Chattanooga.The vibrant down-town is rich with history and a vibrant culture. It is also the home of LakePoint Sports, a youth sports destination, offers Terminus Wake Park, Perfect Game Baseball, Rally Volleyball, soccer and lacrosse.Cartersville has two Smithsonian Museums - The Booth Western Art Museum and Tellus Science Museum â“ as well as the world-renowned Savoy Automobile Museum.It is also home to the Etowah Indian Mounds and the large lake community of Lake Allatoona and Red Top Mountain State Park, which is great for boating, camping and fishing.Many large employers are located in Cartersville â“ Anheuser-Busch, Georgia Power and Shaw Industries â“ which leads to a great city infrastructure of parks and schools.The housing expenses are 12% lower than the national average.
