Head of HR

to as a key ally to senior stakeholders. Reporting to the MD, you will oversee delivery of all HR and talent development, across a client group of around 280 which is going through substantial positive growth and change.

Although your role is strongly strategic, HR provides a classic generalist service covering employee engagement and relations, resource planning, performance management, and coaching. Your client group is diverse, often academic, talented, and ambitious. Leading a small fantastic HR team your mission will be to advocate a deeply-rooted commitment to making the company the most rewarding and inspiring place to work.

Requirements

You will have a solid generalist HR background, which should include supporting business transformation and a track record of successfully managing people projects from end to end.

Your experience must include directly leading an entire HR function of at least 4 people.

You need to demonstrate clear strategic thinking as well as a willingness to stay hands-on across the HR services spectrum.

You will liaise comfortably at all levels and quickly get up to speed with a business that moves fast, needing a highly responsive supporting HR function alongside it.

MCIPD Level 7 or FCIPD qualification is highly desirable.

Gravitas and positive influence is important, as well as contributing to both the senior management team and the wider HR community of the parent company.

As you'd expect, being an obvious team player, communicating effectively, and having a natural customer-focused approach are key attributes.

RewardBasic salary will be circa £65,000 plus a good pension. It is home-based with weekly trips to Oxford and occasional trips to London and Edinburgh. You must have a UK passport or have permanent settled status in the UK, as sadly sponsorship is not available.
