Conflicts Attorney - Washington, DC Law Firm - A flexible, hybrid schedule is available with this role!$125-140kSummary:As a Conflicts Attorney you will play plays a vital role in ensuring that our law firm adheres to the highest ethical standards by identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest (COIs). This critical role involves meticulously reviewing client information, matters, and the firm's current engagements to detect any potential conflicts that could arise.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough conflicts checks for new clients, matters, and potential hires to identify and assess any potential COIs.Investigate and evaluate potential COIs to determine the appropriate course of action, which may include obtaining waivers, disqualification from representation, or informing clients of potential conflicts.Draft and review conflicts waivers, consent agreements, and other documents to ensure compliance with ethical standards and firm policies.Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and the firm's Ethics Committee to resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.Stay up-to-date on the latest legal ethics rules and regulations to maintain the firm's compliance.Provide training and guidance to attorneys, staff, and new hires on ethical issues and conflict management procedures.Prepare reports and presentations on conflict management practices and trends within the firm.Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Proven experience in legal research and analysis.Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflicts of interest.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Thorough understanding of legal ethics rules and regulations.Additional Skills and Qualities:Proficiency in legal research databases and conflict management software.Familiarity with the firm's practice areas and clients.Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential conflicts quickly.Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.To apply, please send your resume and references to durban@libertyjobs.comLiberty Personnel Services, Inc.300 Conshohocken State Road, Suite 750
