Intake Coordinator II will work in a collaborative environment to connect clients to the level of treatment they need while managing a small caseload of individual clients or facilitating group treatments. Since many of our clients have backgrounds in the criminal justice system, are chronically homeless and/or otherwise economically disenfranchised, Intake Coordinator II will show flexibility in being able to meet the changing needs of our programs, can tolerate working in a fast-paced variable working environment, and will assess our clients for harm to self and others, and will diagnose and treat such clients with co-occurring disorders.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide mental health/level of care assessments and diagnoses for adults seeking residential services.Consult regularly with Director to ensure clients meet criteria for safe admission to the appropriate level of residential care.Provide crisis intervention and referrals to high-level care as necessary.Go to San Francisco County Jail sites, as needed, to perform mental health/level of care assessments with inmates seeking residential treatment upon release.Manage a small individual therapy caseload or facilitate group therapy treatment.Provide thorough written documentation of all services provided in compliance with regulations, contracts, and behavioral health standards.Persist in efforts to solve issues even when faced with internal barriers; take personal responsibility for customer service outcomes.And perform other duties as assigned.Education and Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation, Certification, and Experience Required:Board Registered or Licensed as an LMFT/MFTI, LCSW/ASW or Psychologist/Registered Psychologist.Minimum of two years of experience in dual diagnosis substance abuse treatment in an inpatient or outpatient community mental health setting.Experience conducting mental health assessments and providing appropriate diagnoses.Experience with mental health Medi-Cal procedures.Demonstrated clinical paperwork, timely record-keeping abilities, and dual entry in EHR systems.Has a valid driver’s license and able to pass an agency driving test to use agency vehicle for off-site visits.Must not be on active parole or probation.Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory background check.Familiarity with Drug-Medical and ASAM Criteria.Familiarity with AVATAR.Solid understanding of diagnostic criteria for ICD-10/DSM V classification of mental disorders.Skills and Abilities Required:Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applications.Ability to work with a diverse population while withholding judgment.Willingness to learn and understand different perspectives.Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.In compliance with the California Department of Public Health's mandate, all employees must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
