Overview
Job PurposeThe Senior QA Engineer will join ICE Data Services News and Content team in developing solutions to distribute News Headlines and Contributed Content into the ICE Connect platform. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is willing to work with business analysts, developers, client services, and end-users to facilitate and understand requirements and impact of changes to assist in testing, debugging, and enhancing ICE Data Service applications. Candidates must also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, possess the ability to write automated tests, and communicate testing status and strategies to the entire team.ResponsibilitiesReview requirements to assess their impact on software applications and formulate test cases for themWrite concise and complete test cases and bug reportsDevelop and maintain test cases while performing all testing activities including functional, integration, and regression testingEvaluate the application and test cases to be automated. Work with teams to write automation test scripts and create a test suite of automated tests to maximize test coverageIdentify, isolate, regress, and communicate bugs effectively and efficientlyParticipate in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of software test environmentsProvide release support during production software deploymentProvide production support of cases raised by client servicesKnowledge and Experience6+ years of experience testing applications2+ years of experience writing automated tests using a form of programming or scripting language such as Python, Perl, Bash, Powershell, or Javascript/npmHands-on experience with basic server administration, including configuration of applications as well as starting and stopping servicesGreat understanding of Quality Assurance concepts, practices, and toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with source code management tools such as GitExperience with mainstream bug tracking tools such as JiraExperience with automation tools such as Robot, Selenium, or SauceLabsExperience with load testing tools such as JMeter, Benchmark, Postman, or GatlingAttention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
