Grants Writer

Essential FunctionsResponsible for writing grants and proposalsManages grant and program development including strategizing, tracking, resource identification, data collection, research, process review and improvement initiatives.Prospects for new funding sources.Develops proposals for submission to federal, state and private funding agencies.Manages a development team of 2-3 staff.Develops strategic plans for an annual grants strategy and to secure funds for the organizationRepresents the organization at local/regional/national forums, workshops, meetings and events.Works closely with Executive Leadership to develop and implement creative strategies and to ensure that all processes and protocols are followed.Requirements
Must have a strong background in grant writing and 3-5 years of experience in a lead development role.Bachelor’s degree is required. Mater’s degree is a plus.Computer Proficiency: MS Office, FootholdValid, clean driver’s licenseAbility to travel occasionally within Long Island
