Position Overview

This position is a unique blend of sales and onboarding. The Field Sales - Field Trainer is connected with one of our nationally partnered funeral homes, representing them through preneed funeral sales. This position requires a quick learner who can grasp the unique Precoa business model as well as implement successful sales strategies. The Field Sales - Field Trainer role is a launch pad for additional responsibilities and opportunities for advancement. This position is on the front lines of the company and is the key to making sure our Partner Funeral Homes are meeting their preneed sales goals.

In addition, this position has a special focus on onboarding new accounts and agents through providing support to train sales agents, implement lead sources, and build relationships with funeral home staff. By working with the Field Director, they will help identify and prioritize which Field Managers and accounts need support, how best to assist them, and travel to those accounts to provide boots-on-the-ground support accordingly. As an expert in onboarding of new accounts and sales agents, the Field Sales - Field Trainer is an expert in working with all of Precoa's insurance carrier partners including their products, paperwork and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Field SalesBuild and maintain meaningful relationships on both a business and consumer levelMeet with families and individuals in the funeral home partner's community, and assist in prearranging and prefunding funeral services through a preneed policyLead consumer sales presentations both in the field and within the funeral homeEfficiently manage warm leads and execute successful sales strategies, lead generation, and prospectingDemonstrate common sense, warmth, and empathy as you overcome objections and build value in appointmentsUnderstand and sustain the Precoa business modelPartake in various ongoing job trainingField Trainer

Serve as an onboarding consultant to Field ManagersTrain Advance Funeral Planners on Precoa's Web PortalRide along on Advance Funeral Planners appointments with interested consumersAssist with Precoa's local recruiting effortsTravel to new accounts to help onboard them and/or new sales agentsBe an expert on Precoa's insurance carrier partner products, paperworks and processesWork with new sales agents to help them obtain and maintain their license to sell insurance and become contracted with Precoa and the partner insurance carrierQuickly develop relationships and build trust with Precoa Field Managers, funeral home owners, funeral home staff and sales agentsUtilize reporting to identify sales growth opportunities for both accounts and sales agents, and work with them to improveProvide updates on account and onboarding progress to all stakeholdersDevelop new approaches and techniques for making improvements in training programs.Skills & Requirements

Ability to master the sales process and presentation within the ProActive ModelAnalyze reporting and identify/prioritize areas of opportunity to increase productionTrain and communicate to a wide variety of sales agent learning stylesValid driver's license and reliable vehicleAbility to work with a high level of ambiguity and autonomyExcellent oral and written communication skillsAnalytical ability to understand current market needs based on reportingManage time efficiently and able to prioritize time and tasks to be as effective as possibleExceptional interpersonal and organizational skillsWillingness and ability to travel frequentlyEducation and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent professional experience preferred1-2+ years professional sales, training and coaching experiencePrevious role with high travel requirements preferredCurrent life insurance license, or ability to obtain

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position holds supervisory responsibilities of all the region's Advanced Funeral Planners (10+ individuals) with an emphasis on those employed by Precoa.

Work Environment:

Funeral homes as well as establishments around the community (homes, nursing homes, community centers). This position also requires frequent travel to and from these locations.
