WXOW-TV, the ABC affiliate in beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin, has a rare opportunity for an energetic and compelling Chief Meteorologist. We’re looking for someone to lead our News 19 StormTracker Team in a newsroom that puts weather first.The ideal candidate must tell a compelling and clear weather story every day and be ready to react to severe weather at a moment’s notice. Our meteorologists work with state-of-the-art technology and are skilled forecasters who can also create easy-to-understand graphics.In this supervisory role, the Chief Meteorologist would work with the News Director on schedules to make sure we have adequate staffing to cover all weather events and would constantly keep the team on track with WXOW’s mission to provide the best, most accurate weather coverage in the market.
