The Event Marketing Manager will focus on the planning and tactical implementation of Funko’s events, creating a level of excitement around Funko products through innovative event concepts. This role is responsible for supporting major conventions and Tradeshows where Funko brands are sold and represented, as well as directly managing other brand marketing events such as media events, product launches, and retail store events. Key responsibilities include budgeting, logistics, event marketing, and evaluating event effectiveness.

This position will interact with various departments and requires strong collaborative and communication skills to align all stakeholders, including brand marketing, sales, merchandising, social/influencers, creative, content, and PR. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of event logistics and development, supporting the planning, execution, and overall project management of marketing events. They will work across multiple departments to ensure project plans align and support the greater marketing department in meeting business objectives.

What You’ll Do

Plan, strategize and project manage all aspects of event execution from start to finish – including pre-event field enablement, collaboration across multiple teams, onsite event support contract signing, to managing and project managing all sponsor benefits, detailed pre/post promotion/follow up plans, etc.Bring a detailed eye to our communications, planning, logistics, and event execution. Bring your creative self and your passion for well-crafted events to work every day and communicate your unique voice to the stories that we tell at these events.Optimize brand positioning and go to market strategies by identifying key marketing opportunities and white space including but not limited to external activations (Convention booths, sponsorships, in-store activations etc.)Support the execution of brand strategy, ideating concepts, and execution of all initiatives, including digital activations, press-generating stunts, strategic partnerships and promotions, and network presence at consumer tentpole events.Collaborate with Social and PR team on all event invited media and influencer outreach.Ensure consistency across Funko brand by maintaining a uniform tone of voice, brand identity, and design throughout various aspects of the brand’s messaging ensuring brand integrity.Manage projects for reporting needs during all phases of event planning.Actively engage in all areas of marketing acting as a team player and resource for peers.Assist with hotel and/or travel arrangements and oversee event schedules.Support campaign launch activities and live event executions as assigned.Create and manage Event calendar.Proactively identify and solve operational challenges.Develop and implement standard procedures for event execution.Train and oversee staff to ensure adherence to established procedures.What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent preferred.4+ years of experience in event marketing and planning, including 1-2 years of tradeshow experience with a proven ability to manage event logistics and create memorable brand experiences.Experience with integrating events into an overall marketing strategy.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to approach event planning strategically in relation to business goals.Proactive, self-motivated work style with strong project management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows-based applications.Strong leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Creative thinking with an eye for detail in site location, design, and event flow.Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.Ability to anticipate and manage potential obstacles and opportunities.Knowledge of industry trends and ability to identify growth opportunities.Accountability for results and problem-solving skills.Open to traveling to events and working nights/weekends as needed.Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $73,600 - 92,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.#J-18808-Ljbffr
