Hospice Aide - Mercer County - Full-time- Location: Mercer County and surrounding areas - Hours: 8:00 am-4:30 pm, weekends and holidays required

PRN Hospice Aide - Inpatient Care Center- On-call position for the inpatient Care Center - Shifts: 6:00 am-6:00 pm or 6:00 pm-6:00 am

Responsibilities

•Administer basic medical treatments based on care plans or protocols recommended by a therapist or nurse in Greenville, OH.•Assist patients in Greenville, OH with their daily activities and tasks as needed.•Ensure effective implementation of infection control procedures in Greenville, OH.•Maintain cleanliness standards to uphold patient hygiene and safety specifically in Greenville, OH.•Engage in clear communication with patients, family members, and healthcare staff while working in Greenville, OH.•Document vital signs, such as temperature, heart rate, and respiration, in Greenville, OH.•Educate patients and families in Greenville, OH on appropriate care strategies.•Identify and promptly report any necessary changes to a supervisor while working in Greenville, OH.•Perform light housekeeping duties as required specifically in Greenville, OH.•Respond quickly to potential medical emergencies while working in Greenville, OH.•Uphold respect, politeness, and confidentiality throughout the care process in Greenville, OH.•Assist patients in Greenville, OH with personal grooming, bathing, and hygiene needs.•Aid with patient transfers and mobility specifically in Greenville, OH.•Ensure patients in Greenville, OH receive proper nutrition and hydration.•Complete assigned tasks while maintaining cleanliness standards specifically in Greenville, OH.•Manage inventory of patient care supplies and reorder as necessary in Greenville, OH.

Qualifications

•A preferred qualification for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent.•Successful completion of 75 hours of state-approved STNA instruction is a requirement, involving a combination of classroom and practical training.•Continuous employment as an STNA with no breaks exceeding 24 months is necessary for this role.•Competency demonstration within the first four weeks of employment is mandatory.•Passing the state-mandated written STNA exam within the first six weeks is a requirement.•Registration with the Ohio Aide Registry is a must for all applicants.•A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting is required, with candidates having hospice experience being given preference.
