Description

Seeking a dedicated Driver in the Silsbee area to operate company vehicles for waste collection and drop-off. The ideal candidate should be dependable, punctual, and capable of working autonomously. Responsibilities include loading and unloading waste products in the morning and truck loading in the afternoon. Roll-Off Drivers safely handle heavy-duty trucks, preparing, and transporting large mobile containers to disposal sites, customer locations, and recycle facilities. Maneuvering through various routes like driveways, alleyways, and high-traffic roads requires skilled driving, especially in tight overhead environments. Proficient backing maneuvers are crucial for successful job performance in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

•Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer facilities, and customer locations in Silsbee, TX, US.•Prepare, load, and unload waste products in the morning and load trucks in the afternoon.•Navigate various locations including driveways, alleyways, lots, and high-traffic roadways.•Perform highly skilled backing maneuvers, especially in tight overhead environments.•Operate in compliance with Live Oak Environmental Safety Rules, OSHA, DOT requirements, and all relevant laws.•Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR.•Report any unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, or service-related issues promptly to the Route Manager or Dispatch.•Participate in all required training programs, briefings, and meetings.•Collaborate with Route Managers to enhance route efficiencies and identify best practices.•Notify management of service interruptions, damaged containers, or safety hazards.•Communicate customer requests effectively to management.•Ensure proper replacement and positioning of containers on customer properties.•Follow assigned routes, complete end-of-day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience•Education: High School Diploma or GED•Experience: One (1) year(s) of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last seven (7) years.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements•Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).•Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's license with an air brake endorsement.•Must be at least 18 years of age.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required•Acceptable driving record required.•Legally eligible to work in the United States.•Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
