About this roleResponsible for administration and support of the support ticketing system including application customization, training, troubleshooting, administration, maintenance, reporting, support, and ongoing improvements. Ensures outstanding customer service by providing direct technical support to the college community. Ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and college closings.
What a day of an IT Service Desk Administrator looks like:Administers the ticketing systems including Enterprise Service Management (ESM), IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Conversational AI, and the Integrations Platform.
Manages ticket assignments, documentation, escalations, prioritization, and resolution. Provides technical support, responding to questions, routing, and escalating requests as required.
Resolves IT service desk system errors or failures. Involves identifying system problems and implementing corrective actions.
Ensures accurate application programming interface (API) communication between various applications, platforms, and systems including the ESM.
Collaborates with functional business areas to identify their integration needs. Designs and develops automated solutions on the integration platform to improve efficiency in services offered through the ESM.
Builds automated workflows that manage complex business processes and streamline data flows.
Assists with website, portal, and knowledge base development and maintenance.
Prepares required reports for various internal and external requests.
Functions in an on-call capacity for response to hardware, software, or network systems repair needed during normal business hours or instances where the college is closed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or two years of college coursework equivalent to an associate degree
Minimum four years of related experience
Knowledge of:
IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or MS Operations Framework
Integration platforms
Command line and scripting language
Microsoft SQL Server or similar application
Skilled in:
Thinking strategically, effectively analyzing data, and implementing data-informed decisions
Creative thinking and problem-solving to explore new technology, processes, and approaches
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
Provide functional expertise within area of responsibility
Install and troubleshoot MS Windows operating system
Update web pages using basic HTML tools
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
