Thuma is looking for an Inventory Planner to join our growing team.Reporting to the Head of Finance & Planning, this role will help design, operate and improve our inventory forecasting and purchasing model. We are looking for a candidate who has experience managing inventory purchased from a variety of vendors with varying complexities.Thuma’s Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. This is a hybrid role, and candidates should be available to come into our SF office 1-3 times a week.In recognition of the personal and professional benefits that team members gain from time spent together in person, we organize a range of events throughout each year designed to bring our entire team together!Key Responsibilities:

Own and operate Thuma’s inventory and demand planning modelForecast inventory by SKU based on historical trends, seasonality impacts and other factors that impact inventory and demandPartner with Thuma’s Product Development team on production scheduling and forecasting for new productsLead communication with key vendors and onboarding new suppliers for Thuma’s growing product catalogCreate monthly demand forecasts, inventory tracking, and purchase order projectionsReport on key performance metrics related to inventory - including weeks of sales on hand, turnover rate, minimum stock availability, etc.Support Thuma’s expansion into Retail by creating new models to account for in store sales and work closely with the retail team on replenishmentsPartner with finance to ensure target metrics are optimizing profitability and revenuePropose new solutions to improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimizationSupport to transition to a robust cloud-based inventory management toolWork cross functionally to support strategic initiatives, such as international expansion and category expansionThis Might Describe You:

2+ years of inventory planning experience, or other planning experience such as finance, project management, or similarExtensive knowledge of Excel and familiarity with software based solutions for inventory planningA self starter who is able to work independentlyStrong analytical skills + understanding of key drivers that impact inventory planning and demand forecastingDesire to grow and increase responsibility in line with Thuma’s high growth strategy$80,000 - $90,000 a year
