The focus of this role is to drive improvements to our financial reporting as it relates to our real estate assets. This role will have 2 managers as direct reports, one focusing on ROI and the other on Asset Preservation. Each manager having a team of 4 analysts (and growing).

We need someone who understands financial reporting best practices, and the key data points that should be captured and highlighted within the reports. Then, revamping our processes of aggregating the right data, from the right sources, and working with the technical teams on the IT side to execute on a streamlined delivery process.

You will be supporting key stakeholders focused on ROI and Asset Preservation, and the key goal of your team is to improve "speed to insights”.

What you'll be doing

Review and analyze monthly ROI (ROI = Renovation) and Capital reporting: Includes reviewing summary dashboards, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics; highlighting notable issues and trends; and developing meaningful and insightful commentary to be presented to the ROI and Capital leadership teamsReview quarterly ROI, Redevelopment and Capital Board materials: work with team on high profile deliverable presented to executive leadership team at the quarterly board meetingLead the annual budget and reforecast processes; work interactively with renovation/redevelopment/capital teams to finalize the budget; prepare summary reports and communicate to executive leadership teamMaintain and optimize the unit renovation, common area redevelopment and capital databases and processesCreate and maintain financial and operational dashboards to better assist the asset management, pricing, and marketing teamsVigilantly and proactively participate in continual process improvement initiativesDevelop processes that save time while maintaining the highest quality standards, design data rich and aesthetically pleasing dashboards, leverage internal and external resources to efficiently achieve goalsPrepare ad-hoc analyses for senior leadershipMentor team members, drive team objectives, and expand the capabilities of the Capital Analytics teamSkills we're seeking

Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a finance, accounting or IT/data related field8+ years of experience with Financial Reporting and/or FP&A3+ years of experience managing direct reports, and ideally managing indirect reports as a DirectorStrong understanding of financial reporting best practicesUnderstanding of accounting, GLs, TBs, and capital policyFamiliarity with reporting on real estate assets – more experience here the better**This is not a technical role, so technical experience is not required. We're looking for someone who is focused on the subject matter and processes around financial reporting, who can partner with the technical analytics teams**

Nice to have experience:

CFA, CPA, MBA, or other professional designationExperience with Oracle PBCS or similar financial softwareExperience with project management software
