www.colibrigroup.comPosition Overview:The Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Moreland University is an experienced academic, curriculum designer, and business leader who understands how to be customer-centric with a program quality and enrollment growth mindset. This role is for an experienced leader able to ensure candidate satisfaction and program quality via a strategic approach to designing and building academic programs ensuring the curriculum and candidate learning experience is best in class. The Director of Curriculum and Instruction is an experienced and proficient curriculum designer and writer, and who knows how to project manage effectively to leverage talents of the faculty to innovate and accelerate multiple curriculum projects and accreditation programming.The Director of Curriculum and Instruction understands how to connect across university departments such as marketing, admissions, candidate support, and operations to ensure all university stakeholders are fully aware of the phenomenal curricular offerings while leveraging these departments to advance program and curriculum quality. This role reports to the University Chief Academic Officer.What You'll Do

Be an expert on all aspects of the curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments for all program offerings at Moreland.Lead and collaborate with the faculty and academic team with a focus on candidate success and best practices in curriculum and instructional designBuild new program offerings to open the market, with a focus on best practices, tech integration, curriculum, and learning innovation aligned to state, regulatory, and accreditation standardsIntegrate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles into the curriculum design process, ensuring that all program offerings are inclusive and representative of diverse perspectives and backgrounds.Design and innovate on a curriculum and program review cycle to verify the programs and content are relevant, applicable, aligned to educator needs in various markets, and on the cutting edge of innovation while driving deep engagement and Raving FansMaintain knowledge of best practices in curriculum design and instructional resources in an online learning environmentUse a metrics-driven approach to assessing candidate progress through the curriculum and evaluate candidate satisfaction on a week-over-week basisDevelop and maintain a comprehensive data analytics system to track curriculum effectiveness, candidate outcomes, and program impact. Provide regular reports to university leadership for data-driven decision-making and curriculum revisions.Design and implement continuous professional development programs for faculty focused on innovative teaching strategies, technology integration, and advanced instructional design.Maintain relationships with the faculty, needed specialized professional associations, curriculum experts, and various industry associations to be on the cutting edge of knowledge in the educator program preparation industryMonitor the candidate user experience in the learning platform and work closely with the IT/Engineering, eLearning, and design teams to continuously improve upon the platform experienceEnsure integrity, ethical and legal use of content, and bring a flair for creativity and innovationUse a metrics-driven approach to assessing candidate progress through the curriculum and evaluate candidate satisfaction on a week-over-week basisInstitutional Credibility

Along with the Academic Team, lean into and provide collaborative leadership for program accreditation and market expansion; including engaging fully in the leadership of Moreland’s DEAC and CAEP accreditation efforts as well as EPP and state expansion efforts via programmatic alignment to ensure candidates in all 50 states and internationally can access Moreland’s course and program offerings to advance their careers. This includes leading the work to craft the required written narratives associated with accreditation and regulatory efforts.In collaboration with the Academic Team, ensure all curriculum, instructional resources, assessment, and program offerings are correctly aligned to all regulatory and accreditation requirements and meet individual state requirements aligned to teacher licensure and continuing professional educationServe as an academic thought leader attending and speaking at conferences and writing and leading the creation of academic presentations and articles/papers that raise the credibility of Moreland University as a reliable thought leader in the global education industryWhat You'll Need to Succeed

Led curriculum and instructional design teams in terms of program and curriculum growth as well as faculty development and oversightExperience in a for-profit academic environment with the mindset of understanding how the program/product offerings accelerate candidate success and market and enrollment growthKnowledge and experience with the major role that high quality curriculum and learning experiences have concerning regulatory and accreditation bodies such as DEAC, CAEP, and state departments of education relevant to licensure and program approvalsExperience working with online, tech embedded, deeply engaging, and innovative curriculum development workDoctoral or advanced degree preferredColibri Group welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, and we understand that not every candidate will meet every requirement listed in the job description.
