Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a preference for a BSEE/BSME. Additional experience in trademark and/or copyright litigation is advantageous. The role entails conducting depositions, writing briefs, and engaging in oral motion practice before the courts.Duties:Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent litigation cases.Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Assisting in the preparation for and participation in depositions, hearings, and trials.Providing legal counsel to clients on patent litigation matters.Collaborating with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client representation.Requirements:3-6 years of experience in patent litigation.Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME).Additional experience in trademark and/or copyright litigation is a plus.Strong academic background with excellent academic credentials.Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.Experience in taking and/or defending depositions.Proficiency in brief writing and oral motion practice before the courts.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California (active and in good standing).Skills:Legal research and analysis.Drafting legal documents.Client counseling.Oral advocacy.Time management and organization.
