Capital Procurement Manager , you will be responsible for developing the capital procurement strategy with analytics and data and executing through supplier management and cross functional collaboration. This role works closely with Operations and Engineering teams to strategically plan needs for automation and assembly equipment and is responsible for ensuring our commercial terms support the goals and objectives of the business.This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.What You’ll DoBuild relationships with key suppliers and maintain regular leadership communications, serving as the main point of contact for all commercial discussions.Develop and implement Capital strategy through analytics, data and cross-functional collaboration.Negotiate commercially favorable terms (reduced cost, shorter lead times, improved quality).Assist with overall program management to ensure Capital purchases are delivered per the agreements.Develop an understanding of the Automation landscape, including top suppliers, best practices, largest customers and new technologies.Education and Experience You'll BringRequiredBachelors Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMasters Degree, MBA preferredMinimum 5 years of Experience5-8 year track record within procurement and supply chain management.Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification desirable.Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification desirable.5-8 years of Procurement and/or deep Category experience.Some functional experience.
