We're seeking a dynamic Director of Catering Sales to lead and coordinate the catering sales efforts at The Lofton Hotel. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure seamless communication and collaboration between the sales team, banquet department, and hotel management, making sure every detail of group events is flawlessly executed. Drive sales and meet profit goals for the catering department.Report revenue issues and develop action plans with the Director of Sales.Manage the annual budget, critiques, and forecasts.Control expenses according to budget and forecasts.Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to feedback and enhancing service levels.Supervise, train, and discipline Catering Department staff.Maintain high guest contact through personal visits and event management.Collaborate with the Director of Banquets on service standards, operations and close contracts.Develop and implement special event themes and manage the Special Events Committee.Oversee banquet areas, ensuring sanitation, proper controls, and menu management.Other duties as assigned.What we are looking for:
Minimum three years of catering or sales experience in a similar property.High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Strong multitasking and project management skills.Delphi experience preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Skilled in analyzing client needs and negotiating pricing.Ability to work under pressure and manage long hours.What’s in it for you?
