make the world a more beautiful, safer, and sustainable home .What’s the job?The Environmental Sustainability Engineer acts as a resource within the facility to other departments regarding employee safety, ensures environmental compliance, identifies and completes sustainability projects, and leads the plant environmental improvement efforts.Oversight of all sustainability activities of the plant to achieve the sustainability goals of energy/CO2, water, and waste reduction.Coordinate and oversee environmental operations to ensure regulatory compliance and permit renewals.Provide key leadership to the plant recycling efforts & waste disposal/treatment programs.Lead the site team in the identification and implementation of sustainability projects.Conduct regular site inspections for environmental compliance.Assess potential environmental risks and develop mitigation plans.Develop and implement policies and procedures to continually improve the facilities environmental program.Identify root causes of environmental problems and propose appropriate action plans.Coordinate with management to schedule periodic maintenance and upgrade activities to environmental control equipment.Maintain complete, clear and accurate documentation/reports for environmental activities at the facility.Manage asbestos abatement plan and procedure.Participate in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) activities.May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Required Qualifications
4-year degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science preferred.At least 3 to 5 years’ experience of engineering in manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience managing environmental licenses, permits and reporting.Sustainability/CSR/ESG program management experience preferred.Respectful communication and ability to collaborate in a team environment required.Experience with leading a team of employees to implement an improvement or new procedure.Experience with presenting or communicating with small groups of hourly employees for training or other purposes.Company Summary
