The Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applicants for an open-rank tenure-system faculty position within the College of Communication Arts and Sciences (ComArtSci). We seek scholars whose research, teaching, outreach, and/or service will further enhance the national and international excellence of CSD, ComArtSci, and MSU with an emphasis on supporting the 2030 MSU Strategic Plan.The Department of CSD seeks an individual committed to developing an outstanding program of research and demonstrating excellence in teaching, mentorship, and service. All areas of research specialization will be considered, but the following areas are of particular interest:augmentative and alternative communication (AAC);stuttering;voice and voice disorders;aphasia; andcognitive aspects of communication.Michigan State University seeks scholars whose research, teaching, outreach, or service will advance the College’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate studentsAbility to teach required and elective courses, some of which are clinical in nature, in our undergraduate and graduate degree programsCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalentRequired Application Materials
