As Product Manager, you will need to understand the requirements, environments, technology stack, and functionality of the application e.g., NLP based compliance mapping tool, GIS based data analytics application, and other applications that are currently under development. The Product Manager will work in a small team (2-5 team members) and is responsible for researching technologies, software systems, and architecture presenting ideas for system improvements, enhancements, implementation, and conducting impact analysis for software or technology changes. You will coordinate and work closely with other representatives, designers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand functional requirements and document findings.Some high-level duties include but are not limited to:Decompose requests for new capabilities into Features, Epics, and Stories. Categorizing stories into functional, non-functional, or technical debt.Work with other SMEs to ensure stories are decomposed to support vertical slicing.Keep at least 2 sprints worth of user stories in ready state, always meeting the definition of a product ready for demonstration.Coordinate with SMEs to schedule product team release planning meetings and coordinating and preparing for sprint demo.Manage product requirements on behalf of iCatalyst in a complex IT environment using Cloud.Write code to enhance application functionality, performance, UI, and features as per requirements and user needs.Develop and implement algorithms using AI, NLP, and ML to enhance the application to make it more efficient and effective for its users.Ensure Cloud optimization, adjust and maintain the Cloud usage as needed.Provide a scalable architecture for the application/product developed.Act as a Product Owner understand the user requirements, track requirements, maintain domain knowledge, and functionality for the product.Translate, analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and graphical formats.Lead and manage requirement tracking to successfully meet SMEs commitments.Distinguish problems, identify issues and resolutions, and assist in implementing right solutions.Adapt processes to improve inefficiencies and accelerate solutions development.Proactively identify and resolve time-sensitive project risks, issues, interdependencies, and conflicts, both within and across business units and initiatives, and coordinate implementation.Required Skills
Strong ability to write code in Java using PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Angular front end.Direct relevant experience configuring and maintaining the Information Technology Infrastructure associated with an IT system hosted in the AWS cloud environment.Take initiatives, responsibility, excellent communicator, and multitasker.Desire to take on difficult tasks and assist team members.Experience working within an agile sprint development team environment using Jira and Confluence.Ability to creatively collaborate with other program personnel to ensure a unified and well-executed goal.Composure and ability to lead with confidence and calmness when faced with competing high-priority projects and difficult decisions and when delivering presentations.Ability to work independently with limited supervision or in a team setting.Experience
Knowledge of IT concepts, issues, practices, methodologies, and trends particularly relevant to the design of large-scale IT environments.Education
Position requires BS/BA degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience OR a MS/MA degree in STEM discipline with 3 years of experience.Location
